Haley H. Flanagan
I am currently living and working in the blue and green city of Seattle. After graduating in December 2013 with a B.A. in Communication and Information Sciences, I took some time to be with my family on the east coast before making the move across the country to the unknown land called the Pacific Northwest. I love it out here. Don't listen to people who tell you it rains nonstop, because we have some of the most gorgeous, sunny days out here.
How would someone describe me? A soccer-obsessed, loyal, puppy-loving, PR girl exploring the world one city at a time while remaining connected with my friends and family all over the world thanks to social media and Skype).
For the PR minded folk, here is a brief description of my experience-
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a PR major and a Spanish minor at The University of Alabama. I was lucky enough to study abroad during my three and a half years in university. I lived in Salamanca, Spain for five months during the spring of my sophomore year. In Spain I was able to immerse myself in the culture and learn the Castellano language. While traveling, I kept a blog you may read. I hope to use everything I learned in Spain from the language, lifestyle and adjusting to new situations for my future career.
I have had the opportunity to work on amazing, award-winning campaigns through Capstone Agency, a PRSSA affiliated student-run integrated communications firm. I was actively involved in our PRSSA chapter as Director of Web-Based Communications and through monthly newsletter contributions.
I am happy to say that my work on The University of Alabama's Bateman team, to implement an anti-bullying campaign in local schools, was rewarded with Honorable Mention. I also am helping the launch the award-winning campaign LessThanUThink internationally. Check out a blog post I wrote for the Century Council here: http://www.centurycouncil.org.
To view my other activities, please check out my resume. I hope you enjoy checking out my website!
